Baby J's Shower!
When you are pregnant with a beach babe and do not want to throw the typical all-female baby shower, you get a little creative... You call the shower a Celebration of Life, decide to have a potluck with outdoor games, then invite 100 of your closest family, friends, co-workers, and their families!
We chose to stick with her nursery colors of Mint, Coral, White, and Pirate Ship Wood!
We kept an open area towards the front of the Great Hall for the relay game we had planned. Then used two of the 10ft farm tables on either side, one for the food
and one for the gifts!
We decorated with paper balls hung with fishing line from the rafters, assorted flowers in antique jars, and letter balloons! With a gorgeous venue like The Barns, decorations don't have to be over the top!
Outdoors in the courtyard we set up the horseshoes and corn hole boards for guests to enjoy. Then beyond the gazebo, we had the volleyball/badminton net for families to bring out their competitive side!
Overall, it was a perfect celebration for Baby J! We loved being able to enjoy the time we had with our family and friends in a laid back atmosphere without the structure of a normal baby shower. We even asked that the gifts not be wrapped, so that we could display them on the gift table for everyone to see and enjoy.
